Is there a warranty?
Your Backbone One controller can be returned for free within 30 days of purchase, no questions asked. We guarantee the Backbone One against defect and damage from reasonable usage for a full year after purchase and will provide a replacement to get you back in action ASAP!
Is my Android device supported?
Almost all Android USB-C devices running Android 8.0 or later are supported! Backbone is constantly updating their compatibility list with newly tested devices, visit their website for more info. If your device isn’t on the list but is similar in size to any other listed ones, it’ll likely work! If you have any concerns about fitment after purchasing, our hassle-free returns policy has you covered!
Will this work with my phone case?
The Backbone One controller is designed to fit snugly as a precision input device, holding your phone firmly. As a result, you will need to remove external accessories that substantially change the dimension of your phone.
That said, due to the sheer number of phone and case combos, we are excited to hear from our community about any compatible cases! We will keep an eye out and update our article here with any info we find.
What games are supported?
The Backbone One controller offers high-quality gameplay for all your favorite games and apps that support controllers. This includes popular titles like Call of Duty: Mobile, Minecraft, and Diablo Immortal.
In addition, the Backbone One is also compatible with remote play apps offered by Xbox and Steam, allowing games on your console and PC to be played remotely from your phone.
Popular cloud streaming apps like Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, NVIDIA GeForce Now, and Amazon Luna are all also supported by Backbone One.

Do I need to own an Xbox or PC to use the Backbone One?
Nope! A console or computer is only required to take advantage of remote-play apps offered by Xbox and Steam. Backbone One unlocks a world of possibilities for all types of gameplay experiences. Between the Google Play Store, Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, Steam Link, and Nvidia GeForce Now, thousands of high-quality games are available to play. Check out our Platforms page to learn more.
Can I use the Backbone One as a controller for my iPad, Mac, or PC?
While our Play On Any Screen feature isn’t ready for Android quite yet, we expect this feature to be introduced to the Backbone Android App in the near future.
Can I use this with PS Remote Play?
On Android, Sony’s PS Remote Play app exclusively supports the Sony PlayStation® DualSense™ Wireless Controller and the DUALSHOCK®4 Wireless Controller. At this time, there is no official support for any other input devices, including the Backbone One Controller for Android.
In the meantime, players can enjoy the hundreds of games available from both the Google Play Store and cloud gaming and remote play services offered by Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, GeForce Now, Steam Link, and more.
